  • Director & Senior Advisor of a pan-India association for a decade.

 Outsourcing in the pharma/biotech industry is gaining traction and going forward the pace is bound to accelerate. At this juncture companies are ready to collaborate to not only meet urgent production and supply requirements but also to do so in a cost effective manner.

  We are an Association serving contract service providers in the pharma/biotech/medical devices sectors. Our goal is to enable our members  deliver services, products and solutions seamlessly across the globe. This will be achieved by articulating our members’ perspective  for  navigating local and international systems to help them meet their societal and business responsibilities.

Purpose

  “ Resolved to Solve” is the main purpose of ICPA that aims to synergize international expertise of contract  organizations to proactively address issues  regarding access of medicines, therapies and medical devices, worldwide.

Equitable access to high quality health care for all across the globe

Mission

To use resources, services, products, solutions, tools, skills, technologies and practices to support the discovery,

 development, manufacture and distribution of medicines, 

therapies and medical devices across the world in a cost efficient and environmentally responsible manner.


Objectives


 To facilitate collaboration among  service and solution providers involved in the drug discovery, development, manufacture and supply chain to enable them to be more responsive and resilient in meeting national and international demand for medicines, therapies and medical devices.


To work closely with the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices and other stakeholders to help in advance-planning by using emerging technologies to produce novel medicines, therapies and medical devices to meet current and future demand.


To work with governments, international agencies, NGOs and others on health, trade and other issues for improving ease of delivering contract services and solutions.

Criteria


 The member organization

  •  Is Solvent and in good standing.
  • Approved by National and or International regulatory agencies.
  •  Involved in providing contract services, products and solutions for pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices sectors.
  • Provides or plans to provide services to international clients.
  • Has fully paid the annual membership or other dues.
  •  Agrees to the objectives mentioned in the MOA of ICPA 
  •  Is in agreement with the responsibilities and duties as mentioned in the sections below.

  

 


Responsibilities


  •  To help achieve the objectives set out in the MOA of ICPA.
  • To engage and facilitate dialogue and discussion in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • To champion ICPA’s initiatives to improve the ease of conducting business.
  • To support ICPA in engaging with government authorities, public and private organizations, agencies, various sectors and public at large in India and abroad.
  • To follow professional and ethical practices in business dealings.
  • To consider and promote arbitration through ICPA to resolve any business issues with any other ICPA member or non-member.
  • To promote ICPA as an important International platform in various areas of its interest..
  • To help ICPA project a positive perception about the contract services industry.
  • To avoid any act that affects the image of ICPA or the contract services industry 



Duties


  • To pay the association membership or other dues in a timely manner.
  • To actively discharge the responsibilities as a ICPA member.
  • To follow a transparent, legal, honest, ethical and unbiased process in professional, financial and inter-personal matters
  • To be inclusive, collaborative and empathetic during the conduct of any ICPA assigned task.
  • To bring to notice of the ICPA executive management any matter that needs to be addressed.
  • To not raise or indulge in any political or other matter that creates rivalry, factions, ill-will or disruption of ICPA functioning or image.
  • To not misuse or misrepresent the forum. logos, goodwill, provided by ICPA 

Supporting Organizations & Government stakeholders


Supporting Organizations


  • Organizations with objectives similar to those of ICPA.
  • The Organizations will be invited by the Founder-Director or on the advice of a majority of the paying members.
  • The Organizations will not be required to pay membership fees since they are not paying members.
  • Will not be part of the ICPA internal committees but provide their views and suggestions on important issues.
  • Invitee organizations are expected to support ICPA objectives as outlined in the MOA of ICPA  and will be recognized as Supporting Organizations. They may wish to provide their logos and web links on the ICPA website. The supporting Organizations would be expected to display ICPA logo and provide a web link on their website.
  • ICPA reserves the right not to accept or withdraw the supporting Organization status without assigning any reason.
  • Becoming a Supporting Organization does not constitute setting up a partnership with ICPA.

Government stakeholders


  • A public private partnership mode of engagement will be encouraged by ICPA in its interaction with government stakeholders


  • Government ministries, departments, agencies involved in the regulation,  development, trade, investment etc. that directly impact the pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical devices industries can partner with ICPA in any of the activities.


  • A suitable MOU will be framed between the Government Organization and ICPA that will govern the engagement.
